Based on targets, Region 1 ranked first in the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in the entire country as of January 30, 2022 with 67.9% accomplishment.

As indicated in the report of the National Vaccination Operations (NVOC), of the 3.4 million individuals who received complete dose of COVID-19 vaccines, the province of Pangasinan contributed more than half of the total number with 1.8 million vaccinated individuals in Region 1.

The NVOC report also shows that of 5,353,139 total eligible population for vaccination in the region, only 1,938,358 individuals remained unvaccinated who are now targeted to be inoculated in the ongoing vaccination rollout.

Placing second among best performing regions were Region II with 58.63% accomplishment from its target of 922,179, followed by Region VI (Western Visayas) at 55.95% performance rating from its target of 2,533,921.

The Province of Pangasinan, under the leadership of Governor Amado I. Espino III, remains steadfast to sustain its relentless vaccination drive.

To be able to reach the province’s ultimate target of 90%, around 233,215 residents who remained unvaccinated must be inoculated, Provincial Health Officer Anna Maria Teresa De Guzman bared.
