Lingayen, Pangasinan — This February, the provincial government led by Governor Amado I. Espino, III shows love and care to ‘reformers’ who hail from Mabini town, and the city of Alaminos.

The provincial government – managed Pangasinan Reformation Center (PRC) in Burgos town is scheduled to accommodate two more batches of reformers (the 4th and 5th batch, respectively) this February.

The PRC has earlier accommodated three batches of reformers from Burgos, Dasol, and Lingayen/Binmaley. A youth group from Anda also underwent a leadership training and development encounter in said facility.

The provincial administration shows compassion to the reformers (those who were then moderate users of illegal drugs and have surrendered to the police) thru the four-day Integrated Reformation Program, which include spiritual counselling, personality development trainings, and development-oriented engagements like entrepreneurial and livelihood activities they could engage in.

About 20 reformers from Mabini town have undergone a life-changing encounter at the PRC last February 12-15 while 20 others from Alaminos City are on deck from February 19-22.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Espino, PRC Training Directorate head Rhodyn Luchinvar Oro said that the reformation center is built by the provincial administration to bridge the renewal experience of Pangasinenses who have previously experienced the worst moment of their lives under the influence of illegal drugs.

“The PRC is the way of Governor Espino to show you that you are needed by the society. Thru the PRC, you will be prepared to become productive citizens once again,” Oro, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, said.

The PRC led by OIC Administrator Eugenie Guiang is manned by a training team composed of several offices of the provincial government.
